Postpartum Doula
The Support You Deserve

Hiking above Grinnell Lake in Glacier National Park.
A seasoned nanny and babysitter, I first came across the term "postpartum doula" only a few years ago. I was familiar with the work of midwives and birth doulas, but it didn't occur to me there was a term (as well as a profession) associated with the special attention, education, and care that can (and should) be provided to all families during the fourth trimester (the days and weeks immediately following birth). I soon recognized my calling to this field. I am wholeheartedly committed to helping parents make an easy transition into parenthood, and am honored to make such meaningful contributions to my community.
I was formally trained through DONA International and continue my postpartum doula education through resources and workshops offered in the Bay Area. I am a part of the Bay Area Doula Network and a member of Doulahood.

Originally from New Jersey, I earned my bachelors and master's degrees in literature and writing in Virginia, and spent a few years living and working in Washington, DC. I have been a San Francisco resident since 2015, working as a fundraising professional for several well-known arts organizations in the area while simultaneously training to become a postpartum doula. I enjoy running, spending time with my friends and their kids, baking pies, embroidery, and exploring all the food, art, and nature that Northern California has to offer.
